What is the best way to proceed? Obviously I do not want to apply the wrong hotfix. Can't Import MP4 Files Into Corel VideoStudio - ResolvedĪs an ideal video editing tool, Corel VideoStudio is widely used by video professionals and hobbyists. Therefore I wonder if renaming the file is going to fix that, or just lead to a second error. There was only one ulmp4lib.dll error in the error report, so clearly the MP4 format which I tried to read in earlier did not give the same error. So I went to the link given for a hotfix. This time I could see an error report which said that the faulting module was ulmp4lib.dll (as mentioned at. MOV it said it should work – however it crashed it again. In the Knowledgebase I found that if I renamed the file. Is that really so – will it be available soon? Is that the right hotfix? If I go there it says system is down for maintenance. “Can you try updating your program with this “hotfix” provided by Corel via the Knowledge Base It seems there are various hotfixes available - I am not sure which one to use (I am using a 32bit program on a 64 bit Windows 7 computer.) I see in lots of places that Panasonic 4k files crash the program (the files play OK – though jerkily – in Media Player).

I have a new Panasonic VX-870 camcorder which produces 4k MP4 files, which crash the computer when I try to read them in. I am using Video Studio Pro X7 (someplaces its says Ultimate). I say 'assume' since the X7 Properties box does not even record a bitrate for the original clip, so I am relying on the title assigned to these two 4K files which indicate their bitrate is 100 mbps. And of course the audio format is different, as - I assume - is the bitrate. You can, of course, still choose one of the 4K options in Share > AVC/H.264, but these do not include the 24P of the original. Thus, after editing, if you go to Share and choose 'Same As Project Properties' you will only get a new clip with default Properties and not properties matching the original. The result is, of course, that the Project Properties are the X7 default ones. That box is of course ticked in Preferences > General. I repeated this a couple of times each time closing X6, and trying a different clip when I reopened the program. The second 'problem' is that neither sort of clip brings up the message asking if I want the Project Properties to match those of the first clip I insert in the timeline. The FHD clips play smoothly in both Clip and Project mode. In Clip mode, both video and audio jump at one second intervals for the first few seconds and then every quarter second or so for the rest of the clip. I installed the hotfix in my X7, and have no trouble inserting any of those clips whose links are provided above by Rambalac.įirst off, the 4K clips only play smoothly in Project mode.
